What does this mean?
This means the blog will remain active but it will not be managed or updated. This is now a self-run blog, by the people for the people.
What is Comet Jelly's role?
As mentioned above, this is now a self-run blog. Therefore, I will no longer be performing the following tasks:
- Enforcing the comment policy
- Sending invites
- Moderating comments/users
- Making any changes/improvements/bug fixes to the blog
I will simply post threads and comment occasionally. I plan to be more active on the Reddit community going forward. Reddit is very similar to the old version of Disqus, where the user has the opportunity to become involved in many different channels called "subreddits". The following subreddits may interest you: r/nba, r/nbadiscussion, r/lakers.
Chino also has his own subreddit.
Who will enforce the Comment Policy?
No one. Since there is no one to enforce the Comment Policy, this essentially means there are no restrictions on speech and you may type/say whatever you like. I repeat: there are no more restrictions.
The Comment Policy has been deleted. Previously restricted words will now pass the filter. This is now a lawless wasteland. Enjoy.
Some may not feel comfortable participating in this community since all rules and regulations have been lifted. I totally understand. The alternative option I can offer is to participate in the Reddit communities listed above. My apologies in advance for the inconvenience.
Can I still become a contributor?
Absolutely. Email usopp424@gmail.com expressing your interest and I will add you as a contributor and send you the invite list. You must have a Gmail account in order to become a contributor. The window is seven days. Requests sent after the seven-day window will take longer to process.
This announcement will remain featured for seven days. After seven days, it will be un-featured and comments will be locked. Thank you.
